Friendly Cat was dumped on a back country road and found a nice house to let her have her babies. Unfortunately, before they could help her have any options, she was pregnant again. She was a great mom, but since the world has far too many kitties, we were able to help get Friendly Cat spayed before she repeated her gifting once again. This pretty mom has been hanging out at the cat house for a week now trying to let us know what kind of life she desires. So far we know that she does miss sitting outside some, but that she definitely likes being inside the house safe and sound. So she would be available for adoption for inside or inside/outside. And if her new family had a nice climate controlled garage or shop, that would work as well. Friendly Cat would be a great companion for just about anyone, but she wouldn’t necessarily be one that could be packed around for too long. She would rather decide herself to come sit by her new peeps and just relax with them. Friendly Cat would also like other cats or kittens at her new place. As far as her unique eye... she came like that. Our Vet feels it was either a birth defect or an injury that happened early on. Some feel it is wicked, but we are looking for the type of family that feels her eye was cool and loved her for her uniqueness. Please email, call, or text 270-256-1803 if you have any future questions. We have a direct link to apply for any of our babies on google forms @ https://docs.google.com/a/ohio.kyschools.us/forms/d/15H2GYv3mo6ZIn6k0gQeYv5HEB38dbh9fKAalnHg0rQs/edit?usp=drive_web
More about Friendly CatGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better. We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.
We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help.
