While we encourage volunteers to help us in all aspects of our rescue, including finding good adopters, we have a certain process that we go through. All animals are part of the Kentucky Kitty Cats, Inc. 501c3 rescue and can not be given away or left at a shelter/rescue without consent. All documentation a volunteer may see is strictly confidential including any names of clients, addresses, phone numbers, etc. If a volunteer is involved with any of the vetting or clinics we use, any information witnessed there is also strictly confidential. Our volunteers are not permitted to run up bills in our name without consent, approve adoptions or fosters, or relinquish any volunteer duties on to another unapproved person. By submitting this application, I certify that: (1) The information I have given is accurate, (2) I understand that Kentucky Kitty Cats have the right to deny any application, (3) I give permission for Kentucky Kitty Cats to call agencies, reference, and groups I have listed anywhere on this application. (4) If I volunteer, I agree to act in a professional way, not to argue, curse, act negative towards the public or other volunteers, or in any way provoke others that may not have the same mindset as our rescue and/or the volunteer. I agree that I will not abuse or neglect any animal in any way. (5) I understand that accidental animal bites or other injuries to humans and other animals do occur, and I agree to hold harmless and indemnify, and protect Kentucky Kitty Cats, Inc., from any claim or suit filed by anyone as a result of such an incident. In addition, Kentucky Kitty Cats, Inc. will not be responsible if the animal should damage or destroy property belonging to me or others, or shall transfer any disease or internal or external parasites to other animals belonging to me or other animals. I agree that due to the fact that lawsuits are costly and disadvantageous to both parties, the undersigned parties agree to submit to non-binding mediation to resolve any controversy between the parties, including but not limited to, claims for bodily injury, professional negligence, personal injury, breach of an express or implied. By typing your name, you agree to statements 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, and if completing this on behalf of a minor, you understand that they will be held to the same general guidelines as an adult. We highly recommend that adults volunteer with their minor at least at first so that you can help us make sure they understand best practices and limits of a volunteer's role.
