Print an adoption flyer for Birdie!
Birdie is a beautiful, lovable young cat between the ages of one and a half and two. We took in Birdie, her sister, tater and their mother as well as six kittens from this home. All of them have been amazing cats tater, and Bertie are still with us and ready to be adopted either together or apart. Birdie has somewhat of a flat face and her hair make us think that she probably has some Persian in her gene line. We can’t guarantee that, but we can guarantee that Birdie will bring years of love, if you just pick her.
We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better. We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.
We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help.
