Rocky is a sweet and personable kitty who would prefer to be your only kitty family member. He is neutered and current on all of his vaccines and uses his litter box like a pro. Rocky seems to prefer human company over the company of other cats so a single cat household may be preferable for him. We are not certain how he feels about dogs yet but we can dog test him upon request. Rocky does like cat friendly and kind children but a quiet home would also be right up his alley. Rocky would be the perfect low maintenance companion for retired folks that don't want the crazy antics of a kitten but the purry love of a mature kitty. We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better. We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.
We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help.
