Tricia and Emmylou come from a home that has more unfixed cats than they can care for. They came into our spay clinic on January 11, 2023. They stayed with us in hopes that they could find a fantastic forever home together. Tricia is the torbie and the outgoing one. Emmylou is reserved calico, but both are super sweet. Together they make the perfect pair. They haven’t been near children, so we feel like that small children may be a little too much for them. These sisters are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and currently healthy, however, our rescue has so many kitties that we do tend to share URIs around. It would be ideal if their humans could find them super quickly. We do not have adoption fees, but honestly feel that any quality adopter would want to sponsor the vetting for two other needy kitties. We are altering 100 plus cats and dogs a month right now. We do not have government funding for this, and we are currently struggling to cover all the hundreds of cats that need our help. Our county (Ohio) and Muhlenberg have zero other resources for cats. If you can’t adopt, but want to sponsor a cat, that would be amazing.

We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better.  We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.

We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help.
