Kit Kat’s owner moved away and left her alone outside in Louisville, Ky. She migrated over to the neighbors house for food and help with her damaged tail. The neighbor took her to her medical help. Sadly her tail couldn’t be saved. Overtime, the neighbor grew found of Kit Kat and took her into her garage to keep her safe. Kit Kat, who we know is at least 6 now, wants a family of her own where she can cuddle in bed on long cold nights, or relax in the living room while her human works or watches TV or whatever. She is not fond of the cat house setting. It has just way too many cats. She did have cats on the street with her that she did okay with. Please help us share Kit Kat’s story and find her family as soon as possible. We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better.  We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.

We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help.
