Like the majority of our babies, Sandy was found dumped on the streets. What makes her a little unique is she was found her 3 boys, Larry, Curly, and Moe. Sandy has been a very laid back cat while she continued to care for her boys long after her spay. She is very close to them and would love to find a home with one of them. It is so sad to split families up after they enter rescue. They have been thru so much.
However, Sandy is ready to get out of the cat house and be part of a real family. She enjoys being outside on the porch, but when she is ready to come in, she will need access to indoor living. Shes a pretty good hunter, but even better at loving on her people. We feel that she is just an older kitten herself. It’s very likely this was her first litter and why she was dumped to care for her and her boys alone. It breaks our heart how many babies need help, but like all rescue, we are limited on spacing and funding.

We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better. We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.
We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help.
